Aurumtail was the Developers' Pick of the 1st Design Contest as the developers liked some of the new skill ideas and its riding ability. Aurumtail was designed by 'Penumbra'.
Bio[]
A curious mix of reptilian and canine physiology with a unique set of skills. In particular, the Aurumtail's ability to find precious ores and minerals is singular among the inhabitants of the Monster Sanctuary. This ability might have developed due to the Aurumtail's peculiar feeding habits: Its primary diet consists of Mana which it obtains from specific minerals found in caves and underground. This renders their body fragile to physical forces, but gives them an almost impenetrable resistance to magical influences.
History[]
The Aurumtail is loyal to its Keeper to a degree that sometimes proves tragic. When it was first discovered that this species had a knack for finding gemstones, many treasure seekers sought them out. However, removing them from their habitats which were rich in the Mana that they needed to survive proved fatal for many of the species. Since then, it has become a well-known fact that keeping an Aurumtail is a big responsibility that comes with certain challenges. However, a Keeper who is able to properly take care of the Aurumtail's needs is in turn rewarded with one of the most loyal and intelligent companions a Keeper can wish for.
