Bio[]
Brawlish are burly, hot-tempered fish that spend a lot of their time outside of water, being able to breathe through their skin. They use their powerful, muscular arms to move on land. Every adult Brawlish eventually digs a burrow above the water, which gives the Brawlish shelter during its sleep and helps it regulates its temperature. When the mating season arrives, both male and female Brawlish attempt to impress each other by performing push-ups, sit-ups, high jumps, backflips or even by lifting heavy objects.
History[]
There's a popular folktale of a fisherman accidentally catching a Brawlish with a hook on a line. Pulling it out of the water was difficult enough, but once the Brawlish got out of water, the real struggle began. In the following fight, the fisherman was badly bruised and beaten, but he was eventually able to land a knockout punch, incapacitating the Brawlish. He dragged the heavy fish all the way home and, once there, immediately began buttering and heating up the biggest pan that he could find. As soon as he dropped the Brawlish in the hot pan, it regained consciousness and completely wrecked the fisherman's home. It escaped to live another day.

Trivia[]
- Brawlish's name is a portmanteau of the words brawl and fish.
