Changeling is a shapeshifting liquid Monster that has every Monster type.

Bio[]

Changelings are the ever-changing true shapeshifters of the Monster kingdom. Each Changeling contains the traits of every single Monster that is known to us. The matter that makes up their body is fluid and metallic at the same time, like liquid quicksilver, but it's also able to perfectly mimic biological structures and processes.

History[]

For a long time, it was believed that Changelings were simply born from the earth itself - but there is evidence that Changelings originated from the stars. All Changelings were once part of a single being, called the Proto-Changeling. It traveled through the empty void like a half-sentient, slumbering comet for many years. Thousands of years ago, it landed on our world, creating a substantial crater. Being a fluid, amorphous mass, it then slowly seeped underground, becoming part of the very lands and oceans of our world. Over the millennia, it absorbed the fallen remains of countless Monsters, gaining access to their traits in the process. Eventually, small parts of the Proto-Changeling gained sentience and dug their way through the earth to the world above, emerging as Changelings. Unconscious parts of the Proto-Changeling can still be found underground in some parts of the world.

	Cascade	The power of every consecutive hit during an ability is increased by 5% continuously. (For a 4 hit attack: +0%, +5%, +10%, +15%)

	Death Blow	Deals 5% increased damage for each Debuff on the target.

	Hexed Touch	When this Monster gets attacked, 50% chance to apply a random Debuff on the attacker.

	Healing Shield	Healing skills (active and passive) also apply a Shield equal to 20% of the amount healed.

	Assistance	Every heal that comes from this Monster (active and passive) has a 10% chance to apply Sidekick (Buff).

	Observe	Whenever this Monster spends a turn without attacking an enemy, shield all Monsters in the party by 50% of this Monster's Defense.

	Hexing Support	Whenever this Monster spends a turn without attacking an enemy, apply a random Debuff on a random enemy.

	Buffing Shield	When applying a Buff, also apply a Shield equal to 30% of this Monster's Defense.

	Variety	Every attack deals 15% increased damage when used for the first time during combat. (Different levels count as same attack)

	Hex	Every hit has a 7.5% chance to apply a random Debuff.

	Warlock Healing	For every heal applied there is a 10% chance to apply Poison, Weakness or Armor Break on a random enemy.

	Barricade	Every shield that comes from this Monster (active and passive) has a 4% chance to apply Barrier (Buff).

	Buffing Heal	When applying a Buff, also heal the target by 50% of this Monster's Magic.

	Lifesteal	Heal by 15% of the damage dealt to enemies.

	Saboteur's Shield	Apply Shield equal to 50% of own Defense when applying a Debuff.

	Anti Cascade	Reduces enemy damage by 3% for every consecutive hit. (1st hit: 0% reduction, 2nd hit: 3% reduction, 3rd hit: 6% reduction)

Trivia[]

The Monsters that Changeling morphs into include:
- Nautilid, Ornithopter, Dracogran, Mega Rock and Blade Widow, in that order, during its idle animation.
- Stolby during its walking animation.
- Kongamato when jumping or falling down.
- Catzerker (old sprite) when using a Physical skill.
- Goblin Warlock when using a Magical skill or Non-damaging action.
- Lava Blob during its hurt animation.
The only Monster type that is not present in Changeling's animation is Worm.
