Effect

Counterfeit is a special active skill. Counterfeit allows the user to select an opposing Monster and perform the last active skill the selected Monster used. Hovering on a Monster will show the skill that was previously used. Opposing Monsters that have not used a skill cannot be selected. Counterfeit also cannot be used on an Ultimate skill if another allied Monster has used an Ultimate on the same turn.

Counterfeit copies exactly the skill's base effects and action type, triggering any related passives the user possess, but will always use its own Mana cost regardless of the skill used. Copied Damaging actions are boosted by Variety if the user has not used the attack before. Counterfeit can also be used on a Potion action and this will not consume the item (although it will still spend Mana).

If the copied skill is a single-target Damaging action, the attack targets the Monster that got its attack copied (the selected opposing Monster). Meanwhile, if the copied skill is a single-target Non-damaging action, the action targets the user/self.

A copied Occult Power will apply Buffs and shield the user even if they are not a Goblin or Occult, but a copied Ancient Conjunction will only apply Age on Ancient Monsters.
