Bio[]
The dungeon-stalking G'rulu represents an altered form of the deep-sea Grummy. After this transformation, the G'rulu retains its mastery over the tides, but it prefers to inhabit dry places, with a preference towards man-made lairs. There are old stories of G'rulus creating such lairs within the underwater caves of the Old World. According to the ancient demon tome Ahrimaaya, the G'rulus are said to perform dark rituals in these lairs in an attempt to awaken their immortal master, the Great Graamu.
History[]
There are records of two groups of Monster Keepers that have embarked on expeditions to uncover those hidden lairs, in 113 AC and in 136 AC. Of the first expedition, nobody ever returned. The second expedition was led by Keeper Ranger Hollie Payton, the daughter of the first expedition's leader. She was determined to discover what tragedy had befallen her father and his daring expedition party. After their departure from the Sanctuary in 136 AC, none of them were seen again in years. It took five years until a single Keeper Novice from that doomed second expedition party returned to the Sanctuary. The boy returned as a mute and he never spoke another word until he died of natural causes in 236 AC.
Acquisition[]
G'rulu can be encountered in the Stronghold Dungeon. However, they drop Grummy eggs instead of their own. Therefore, under normal circumstances, it can only be obtained through evolution. Click here for its location details!
In Randomizer and Bravery, it is possible to obtain its egg from certain NPCs, Monster chests, or Reward Boxes.
