	Heroic Defense	Reduces damage taken by 2% for every Buff on this Monster.

Effect

Heroic Defense is a passive skill that increases the damage reduction value of the Monster with this passive by up to 2% for each Buff on it. The effectiveness of this increase gradually diminishes as more Buffs are applied. Additional stacks of a Buff are only half as effective, providing approximately a 1% increase each. If a hit results in the Monster gaining a Buff while being attacked, such as through Martial Prowess, this passive will be dynamically updated for any subsequent incoming hits. Heroic Defense stacks multiplicatively with multiple instances of itself on a Monster, as well as with other sources of damage reduction, but with diminishing returns.

The damage reduction from a single instance of Heroic Defense is calculated as follows:

The strength of a single Buff stack is assigned a value of 1.0, whereas additional stacks of the same Buff are valued at 0.5. For instance, the total Buff strength of Might and Sorcery would be 2.0, whereas the total Buff strength of 2 stacks of Might would be 1.5.
