The Mystical Workshop is a forgotten workshop located east of the Keepers' Stronghold. It was originally built to maintain and repair Steam Golems, but the Golems took control and created new mechanical beings. Various Constructs can be found in the Mystical Workshop.
The entrance to the Abandoned Tower can be accessed through this area. It is connected to the Stronghold Dungeon at the very bottom.
Storyline[]
As you progress through the Workshop, you'll encounter a Trade Golem. It sells the Thermal Reactor, Charging Sphere, and Shield Generator items plus a bunch of other renewable ones.
At the Teleporter Stone, you'll find Bex again, if you defeated him in the Magma Chamber. He gives a Shift Stone.
Later, you encounter Trevisan. He is not an official member of the order of Alchemists. He doesn't have any Monsters, as he calls himself a scholar, rather than a fighter. He was drawn to alchemy because he could gain notoriety, but he had to leave due to suspicions about Marduk. He seeks to confirm his suspicions here, in the Workshop, and enlists your aid in helping him find the information he seeks. As a reward, he promises to tell you his suspicions. He requests your aid in handling Monsters - perhaps even a Champion along the way.
Near the top, you find your path blocked by three doors, each requires a key. You must explore the rest of the Workshop to obtain all three keys before progressing onward. Trevisan then tells you that there must be a Champion around here somewhere, as he implies Marduk uses the Champions to guard places.
After defeating the Goblin Pilot Champion, you proceed into a hall of Mad Eye statues, encountering a massive one with a swarm of the Monsters around it. Trevisan explains that he once believed Marduk had discovered the Philosopher's Stone, to prolong his life. He came to realize that the only true way to achieve immortality was through the occult, however, not alchemy. His followers believe he is the savior of alchemy, but in truth, Marduk is only using them. He claims there is a connection between Marduk and Mad Eyes. He posits that he may not be human at all - or that he may be merely a pawn in a much bigger game.
He then continues to explain that Marduk may be hiding out in the Abandoned Tower, as previously assumed. However, he has no concrete evidence that Marduk is actually there, having never met the man, himself. He claims Marduk only trusts two of the alchemists - Zosimos and Chymes. He has nothing more to share, and leaves after this.
When entering the Abandoned Tower with the Key of Power, Will appears to prove that he is willing to help despite losing his Spectral Familiar, and challenges you to a duel.

Puzzles[]
Steam Door Puzzle[]
The Steam Door puzzle requires monsters that can trigger ground switches and move heavy blocks.
Start off by triggering the first ground switch to enter the first area.
In this area, move the right block to the middle of the ground switches. This should open the left door, so you can move that block to the left-most ground switch. Then trigger the right-most ground switch to open the horizontal door to the next section.
Move the right block over the closest ground switch. This should open the left door, so you can push the left block over enough to jump upwards into the next section.
Push the right block over the switch, then move to the top left and push that block over the next switch. Trigger the top-most switch with a monster to open the lower door.
Enter to get to the left side of the block and push it to the right. CAUTION: Make sure to not push the blocks flush together, otherwise you won't be able to move them again.
Push the blocks over two of the ground switches, then use a monster ability for the last one. This should let you reach the chests.
Chain Door Puzzle[]
Flip the bottom left lever to move the horizontal doors. Flip the lever in the top right section to open one of the doors to the top left. Reflip the bottom left lever to get access to the top left section with the now accessible lever.
Flip that lever to open a door higher up to the right. This should also bring down another door in front of the chest above. Go back down and flip the right lever. This should give you further access to the left area. Flip the left-most accessible lever. This should open the door at the top right to another lever, however now three doors are down in front of the chest.
Trigger the bottom two levers again to get access to the top right area. Go up and trigger the top lever to open the door to the top left lever.
Backtrack (flipping the two bottom levers on the way) to flip the top left lever. This should open the horizontal door on the top right.
You can progress further on, or you can flip the top right lever top open another door in front of the chest (this should block the top left lever, but that doesn't matter anymore).
Flipping the two levers in the middle left region should open the last two doors to the chest.
