Bio[]

Oculi are a technological marvel without equal in the Sanctuary as well as in the Old World. An Oculus's eye is made of several state-of-the-art lenses of transparent adamantium that can be moved at will, granting the Oculus vision acuity that is possibly beyond any other being in existence.

History[]

Oculi were created by Steam Golems in the Mystical Workshop at an unknown point in time. It is likely that their design was inspired by insects, both in terms of anatomy as well as behavior. The Oculi were presumably intended to use their precise vision and heat capabilities to be intelligent welding instruments for the Golems. The Oculi instead used their heat lasers to burrow into the walls of the Workshop, creating complex cave systems. The number of Oculi that occupy the walls of the Workshop is unknown. It seems that they have broken out into different colonies, working largely independently of the Steam Golems. Amusingly, there is a small group of individuals who believe that the Oculi have since created another type of intelligent mechanical Monsters that are too small for the human eye to see.
