The Old World is what those within the Monster Sanctuary refer to the lands outside of it, where humans originally came from.
History[]
490 years ago, there was a huge war. Ever since then, humans have been doing everything they can to explore the uncharted regions of the world and learn the secrets of nature. This is called science. Alchemists have always existed in the shadows, manipulating the humans of the Old World to lead them toward whatever future they decided was best.
By 200 AC, Alchemy was outlawed in much of the Old World and even persecuted in some areas. It was at this time that the Alchemists fled to the Monster Sanctuary in secret.
