Plague Egg was the Developers' Pick of the 5th Design Contest because of its creative design and unique style. Plague Egg was designed by 'Polygonal' and 'Pope_PiusXIII', while the visual design was made by 'Abandoned Vessel'.
Bio[]
These oval creatures bear an appearance similar to the garb of an ancient order which practices alchemy. Plague Eggs are usually reclusive and only rarely appear to attempt to cure illnesses and injuries on unattended patients. However, interrupting their "operations" or attempting to capture them will provoke them to attack with magic, which curses and interrupts the biological functions of living creatures. Their cures sometimes resemble ominous experiments - for instance, they might save a human's life, but at the price of their legs. Conversely, sometimes they add enhancements to their patient's bodies, such as additional limbs or wings, but neglect to treat their illnesses. Thankfully, when raised by Keepers, they do not practice such behavior.
History[]
Plague Eggs were first seen in the Sanctuary in 204 AC. Due to their appearance, it's assumed someone within the Sanctuary must have created them through magical experiments on Monster eggs. It's unknown who would've done so and why. Despite their unknown origin and their occasionally erratic behavior, they are seen as another welcome addition to the Monster Sanctuary. Some residents of the Sanctuary have even sought out their treatment when conventional medicines have failed them.
Acquisition[]
Plague Egg cannot be encountered in the wild. A Plague Egg egg can be bought from Rhazes in the Magma Chamber after defeating the Asura Champion. Click here for more details!
It can also be obtained from Reward Box lvl 4 (the name of the egg is "??? Egg").
