Bio[]
Prometheans are undead that were brought to life through a combination of Alchemy and the Old World's "science." Electricity is the most vital component to their existence, so a number of devices are attached to their bodies to keep the electricity in their body in check.
History[]
There was a mad scientist in the Old World called Victor who spent many years trying to reanimate a corpse. In 386 AC, he finally succeeded. This first walking dead was never given a name by his creator, and he was a crude, grisly creation, but he had a conscious of his own. Victor was overly ecstatic over his success, and so he promptly created several more reanimated undead. Victor's first creation always observed those processes and he spent many hours in Victor's great libraries. He, as well as his siblings, still lacked free will, being forced to obey their creator. However, Victor didn't notice that his first creation was adding augmentations to his own body. Those augmentations allowed him to resist his master's call and fight back against him. He came to be called Prometheus, and the undead he added those same augmentations to were called Prometheans.

Trivia[]
- According to Promethean's History, the first creation was called Prometheus, whose name is based on the Titan god of fire Prometheus from Greek mythology.
- Promethean's name would be based on Promethean, meaning relating to or characteristic of Prometheus.
- Promethean's lore is closely reminiscent of Mary Shelly's novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus, which also features a mad scientist named Victor, who uses electricity and parts of cadavers to create an ugly but intelligent being.
