Rampede (along with Amberlgna) was the Developers' Pick of the 6th Design Contest because it fits into the existing set of new Monsters very well and is a cool, mountable dinosaur. Rampede was designed by 'White Dragon'.
Bio[]
A ferocious omnivore from a long forgotten age. It is believed that Rampedes were highly territorial and lonesome creatures - each adult Rampede reigning over a large territory of the Old World uncontested. Trespassers would be chased down with reckless abandon. Rampedes were deceptively quick for a creature so bulky, and its tail doubled as a counterbalance, making it surprisingly nimble. The heavy armor on its back insinuates that even bigger, more dangerous creatures roamed the Old World in ancient times.
History[]
Like most other Monsters from this ancient age, Rampedes went extinct before humankind arose, so it's unlikely that Rampedes and humans ever interacted with each other directly. Before the invention of metalworking, however, some tribes and early civilizations of humans would use the bones of excavated Rampedes to forge powerful armaments and sturdy tools. Gierseid, the legendary warrior king of ancient times, wielded a large sword fashioned out of a Rampede's horn. It was an impressive weapon that was passed down from one generation to another. Now, it's little more than a status symbol for the lords that still rule parts of the Old World.

- This Monster was originally misspelled as Rampeed by the creator during the Design Contest and was left like that for a while but was later changed to its current name.
