Bio[]
The Rathops was a large reptile that roamed the Old World in ancient times. It fed mostly on plants and the occasional Crystal Snail, which had been the most dominant species up until the emergence of the Rathops. The Rathopses lived in great herds, although even a single Rathops could fend off the largest and most dangerous predators of the time - which included the earthbound ancestors of the Draco family. In fact, numerous fossils of such predators have been found that bear the telltale mark of the Rathops's massive horns.
History[]
Large reptilian Monsters such as the Rathops dominated the landscapes of the Old World for millions of years. The great cataclysm wiped out most of them. Still, there are many among the Sanctuary (as well as outside of it) who dream of a world re-populated by those grand ancient beasts. According to an infamous story, there once lived a mad warlock who devised a ritual to recreate living Rathopses using their bones and other fossil finds. It is likely that nothing ever came of it, as no living Rathops has ever been seen by human eyes.

- Rathops's name and design are based on the triceratops, a three-horned dinosaur that first appeared during the late Maastrichtian stage of the Late Cretaceous period.
