Riposte is a passive skill that triggers when the Monster with this passive is attacked, causing a hit dealing 300% of the Monster's Defense value as physical Neutral damage to the attacker. Exploiting an enemy's weakness through this skill can trigger passives such as Exploit and Brawler. The hit occurs after all other effects of the attack that triggered it, even if the Monster's Health is reduced to 0 by the attack.

Riposte hits are unaffected by Combo and do not trigger any additional hits since they do not happen during the Monster's turn. However, they can land as a Critical Hit, triggering any Crit-based skills, such as Critical Mass. Charge stacks do not increase the damage, but all other damage modifiers, such as Empower and First Impact, can affect it. On-hit effects, such as Kindle, also have a 300% increased chance of triggering from the hit. Riposte hits cannot be dodged and are unaffected by Blind stacks.

In a Keeper Duel, if a Keeper's Monster is knocked out due to Riposte, its replacement is not sent until the beginning of the Keeper's next turn. If all of the Keeper's Monsters are knocked out due to Riposte, the opponent (the team with Riposte) would not have any Monsters to attack on their turn. This immediately ends their turn, causing the Keeper who lost their team to Riposte to effectively get two turns in a row.
