Salahammer was the Developers' Pick of the 4th Design Contest as it has a unique design niche and would fit really well in the game. Salahammer was designed by 'Taggerung559'.
Bio[]
Throughout history, Salahammers have been known as master smiths, using their internal fires to fuel their forge. It is believed that some Salahammers are obsessed with the creation of the perfect weapon, which may even cut through diamond with ease, while other Salahammers instead seek out to create an indestructible suit of armor, which would protect its wearer from all harm.
History[]
Salahammers have most often kept to themselves, working in volcanic caverns and other places that are hard to reach. Periodically, a lord would be able to entice one of them into his services, which gave the lords armies an edge over their opponents due to the quality of the gear the Salahammer would produce. Even more rare than an army equipped by a Salahammer were those with one in their ranks, who proved to be devastating in combat when they had a reason to fight. After the creation of the Monster Sanctuary, most Salahammers migrated there, attracted by the solitude it promised. Many of them developed a productive relationship with the Steam Golems and the other constructs of the workshop, while some Salahammers prefer the heat of the Magma Chamber.

Trivia[]
- Despite being based on salamanders, which are amphibians, Salahammers are Reptile Monsters.
- This is because Salahammer's design is based on the salamander monsters of the fantasy role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons/Pathfinder, which are reptilian, rather than the real world salamanders.
- Salahammer's name is a portmanteau of the words salamander and hammer.
