Every action applies a damage hit (75% Attack or Magic), shield (75% Defense), heal (7.5% Max Health) or a random Buff, depending on action type.

Effect[]
Shadow Proc is a Dark Shift passive that applies a different effect depending on the type of action used by the Monster with this passive. For actions with multiple effects (hybrid actions), such as Shielding Leaves (Damaging and Shielding), Heat Shimmer (Damaging and Buffing), Helping Hand (Healing and Buffing), and Encapsulate (Healing and Shielding), only one Shadow Proc effect is triggered and prioritized based on the action type.
- Damaging actions trigger an additional hit to the target enemy equal to 75% of the Attack (if physical) or Magic (if magical) value of the Monster with this passive. If a multi-target attack is used, it hits the highest frontmost Health percentage enemy Monster.
- Buffing actions (that are not Damaging) apply a random applicable Buff to the target ally, or a random eligible Monster if a multi-target action is used.
- Shielding actions (that are not Damaging or Buffing) apply a shield to the ally Monster with the lowest shield percentage, positioned frontmost, equal to 75% of the Defense value of the Monster with this passive.
- Healing actions (that are not Damaging, Buffing, or Shielding) apply a heal to the lowest frontmost Health percentage ally Monster equal to 7.5% of its Max Health.
In Permadeath, Revive and Gift of Life are not considered Shielding actions despite applying a shield, so the healing effect is triggered instead.
Shadow Proc adds Combo regardless of which action type is used. For Buffing actions, Combo is increased regardless of whether a Buff is applied due to the Buff limit, except when using a Non-damaging multi-target Buffing action, such as Safecast and Forge (possibly a bug). The healing and shielding count as part of the initial action, so they are boosted by Cascade and Overcast (and Charged Healing for the healing). Critical Healing can trigger off the heal, and Load Up is guaranteed to trigger off the shield.
The effects are also applied by the Monster with the Shadow Proc passive, triggering and being affected by any effects owned by the Monster or originating from other Auras.
