Spectral Lion is one of the four Spectral Familiars that the player can choose at the beginning of the game. By default, the Lion is Leonard's Familiar. If the player chooses the Lion, Leonard shall receive Spectral Wolf instead.

Bio[]

Tales from the Old World make the Spectral Lion out to be the noblest and most heroic of the Familiars, ruling over the great prairies and tropical jungles. Some ancient texts of a civilization long forgotten even attribute the creation of the deserts to him. There are a great many tales of him fighting against evil and hunting down demons, but the stories also often warn that you should never draw the Lion's wrath upon yourself. The Lion was believed to guard those who were devoted to him and those of pure heart. If you gained his trust, he would protect you and your family from all perils.

History[]

Since 0 AC, the Spectral Lion has been the Spectral Familiar of the Narasimha bloodline. Keepers of the Spectral Lion almost always rise to the highest ranks of the order, adding ever more prestige to their family name. Thus it seems natural that the Keepers of the Spectral Lion are seen as figures of great authority among our order, always taking part in the discussions that concern the Sanctuary as a whole. The prevalent belief among the Keepers of the Lion is that there must be some semblance of law to prevent evil from corrupting the Sanctuary.

Acquisition[]

Spectral Lion is one of the four Spectral Familiars the player chooses at the beginning of the game. If the player chooses a different Familiar, they are still able to obtain it at a later point in the game. Click here for more details!

Go to the top of the Keepers' Tower once you reach Keeper Master
The Spectral Lion Champion

Once you have reached Keeper Master, go to the top of the Keepers' Tower, talk to the Keeper there, and a portal to the Eternity's End will appear. A version of Vertraag will greet you upon entering and explain the realm's origin and purpose. You can fight the Spectral Lion at the bottom right red platform. If you did not choose Spectral Lion as your Familiar, you get a Spectral Lion egg; otherwise, you get the Infinity Flame accessory. This can only be done once per playthrough and additional Spectral Lion eggs can only be obtained through New Game+. If the player chooses Spectral Lion as their Familiar in New Game+, they will get both the egg and Infinity Flame when defeating it in Eternity's End.

Based on a feedback survey back in May 2021, Spectral Lion was one of the Top 20 community's favorite Monster, it being in the 14th place.
