#89 - Sutsune

| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Sutsune was designed and created by the wife of the head developer, because she thought (rightfully so) that a kitsune succubus would be a cool concept for a Monster for his game.
Bio[]
Sutsune are beautiful, elegant, and deadly female vulpine demons. According to ancient stories, Sutsune are able to transform into common foxes or young women; only upon closer inspection one might spot some deformities such as horns hidden underneath the hair or fur. Often, however, it was already too late at that point, since the Sutsune had already snuck in close enough to fulfil her nefarious plan. A Sutsune is said to be as likely to kill as she is to enthrall a man's heart so as to subjugate him for her purposes.
History[]
Certain tribes of the Old World feared the Sutsune more than any other known Monster, as Sutsune were said to take away young girls who strayed too far from their homes. With promises of power and independence, they would lure them into the hidden subterranean habitats of the Sutsune where fires burn day and night and all is covered in soot. There, the young girls would be transformed into Sutsune. If one considered the conditions that many women of the Old World had to live in, one could say it wasn't such a bad deal - and perhaps the negative views on the Sutsune were based on prejudice rather than fact.
Acquisition[]
Sutsune can be encountered in Abandoned Tower. It can also be obtained from Reward Box lvl 4. Click here for its location details!

Trivia[]
- Based on a feedback survey back in May 2021, Sutsune was one of the Top 5 community's favorite Monster, it being in the fifth place. (Top 20 results here)
- Sutsune's design is based on the kitsune, a fox yōkai with the ability to shapeshift into a human form, as well as the succubus, a female demon that appears in dreams to seduce men.
- Its design is also based on a character the head developer's wife originally made years ago.
- Sutsune's name is a portmanteau of the words succubus and kitsune, referencing it being a combination between these two creatures.
