Sycophantom was the runner-up of the 2nd Design Contest, designed by 'MissingNovice'.
Bio[]
A mischievous spirit that is believed to be born of an elephant calf that was brought down by human hunters. Now it is doomed to spend eternity in the form of a young elephant, which explains the Sychophantoms' juvenile behavior. It seems that they are determined only to manipulate others for their own personal gain, or to spread evil in the world that was so unkind to them. It's usually not difficult to outwit a Sycophantom however, which means they often end up doing favors for others, while forgetting to follow through with the actual manipulation part afterwards.
History[]
The Sycophantoms used to be one of the lesser-known types of spirits, as they were only spotted in a small region of the Old World. This region was known for its prolific ivory trade, which continued even after the Sycophantoms came into being. As the years went on, more and more Sycophantoms were created. They usually work alone, but eventually they realized that they had to put a stop to the hunters who preyed on their living brethren. So one night, all of the Sycophantoms came together for a massive haunt, chasing out the hunters for good.
