#14 - Tengu

Bio[]
Mischievous creatures that seem to only have a single redeeming quality: their love for dance and song. However, they only approach a human when they wish to play a childish prank on them or impress them with their magical powers. It is known that you should always entertain a Tengu's japes and never do anything to infuriate them - unless you want to test the Tengu's mastery of fire and poison.
History[]
For many years, the Monster Keepers tried to reason with the Tengus and motivate them to come to the Sanctuary. Significant advances had been made in science and technology and the humans no longer feared the mischievous spirits of the mountains and woods. It was inevitable that the Tengus' pranks would soon cause the humans to retaliate in force. However, the Tengus proved arrogant and even became volatile when the Keepers pushed them on this subject. This only changed when the young, but wise Keeper Ranger Gakuto was put to the task in 17 AC. He deceived the Tengus, played tricks on them and even hired actors for his schemes. Within a single year, he managed to bring all of the Tengus of the wild to the Sanctuary without conflict.
