Bio[]
Vodinoys are fierce, resilient mermen that can sometimes be found in ponds and rivers near villages, although their home is said to lie in the deepest ocean depths, where no human has ever been.
History[]
Although the true origin of Vodinoys is unknown, there are many stories of people living in remote fishing villages that turned into Vodinoys. The signs would first show when a young man approached adulthood. He would begin to dream of a majestic underwater city where he would be free of the trials and tribulations of everyday life. Next, the body would gradually change, taking on fish-like features, which causes much horror, grief, and shame to the affected one's family. Later on, the affected one would lose the ability to communicate with others, as they start to talk in a strange, croak-like language that only other Vodinoys understand. Lastly, they would vanish in the nearby waters to chase their dreams of a paradise hidden underwater in vast oceans. Still, Vodinoys can sometimes be seen nearby villages, often wearing old, patchy clothes - a futile attempt to return to their original homes.
Acquisition[]
Vodinoy is a super Champion Monster in the Horizon Beach. You can obtain its egg by achieving a 5-star rating and only once per playthrough. Click here for more details!
Vodinoy hides in the forgotten depths beyond a narrow path at the far east of the Horizon Beach. You must use a Monster with Blob Form or Morph Ball to enter and progress through a short labyrinth. You will find Vodinoy behind another narrow path in the next room.
It can also be obtained from Reward Box lvl 5.
