Bio[]
The Yowies used to avoid humans at all costs, going to great lengths not to show themselves. However, ever since they were brought to the Sanctuary, they have become more jovial as well as battlesome, happily taking challenges from starting Monster Keepers. The Yowie is speculated to be a distant relative of humans.
History[]
The Yowie was long thought to be just a myth. Many people collected footprints of this elusive beast, but they often varied in size and number of toes. Even the early Monster Keepers weren't sure of their existence, and it was complete happenstance that a Monster Keeper came upon a Yowie. In 97 AC, while traversing a desolate, icy mountainside in search of a village of Mogwais, Keeper Ranger Rianna was surprised by a relentless snowstorm. She found shelter in a nearby cave, where she met a Yowie mother and her infants. The Keeper Ranger showed the Yowie that she didn't mean harm and in turn was taught the ways of the Yowie. She convinced the Yowie mother to come to the Sanctuary and thereafter managed to find a great number of other Yowies that lived in the mountains and forests of that land.

- Based on a feedback survey back in May 2021, Yowie was one of the Top 20 community's favorite Monster, it being in the 18th place.
- Yowie's name and design are based on the yowie, an entity believed to live in the Outback from Australian folklore.
